MAX PLANCK RESEARCH
SCIENCE MAGAZINE TRANSLATIONS
For more than 10 years now, Baker & Harrison has been handling translation projects for the internationally renowned Max Planck Society. Among these assignments, for the past eight years we have been commissioned to translate the science magazine “MaxPlanckResearch“.
The Max Planck Society is a not-for-profit research organization and sponsor of the 80 or so Max Planck Institutes and research establishments. The MPS is dedicated to basic research, predominantly in the natural and social sciences and humanities, and cooperates with but remains independent from the universities.
Not only is the Max Planck Society one of Germany’s leading research organizations, it has also earned an outstanding reputation worldwide. In 2006 the MPS was ranked by the Times Higher Education Supplement as one of the world’s finest non-university research organizations and the third best technological research institution worldwide, coming just behind AT&T and the Argonne National Laboratory.
For the past eight years Baker & Harrison has been translating the quarterly magazine “MaxPlanckResearch“. The magazine reports on the research carried out at the various Max Planck Institutes and describes their latest discoveries and developments. It plays an important role in communicating the work of the Max Planck Society to a wide audience.
